Published on in NEWS

The “COREnect” consortium (European Core Technologies for Future Connectivity Systems and Components) starts a new project on July 1, 2020, that has been selected by the European Commission through the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme. TU Dresden and Barkhausen Institute will function as the project coordinators during the whole period.

In the next two years, project members from the European industry and R&D leaders from the microelectronics and telecommunications sectors will jointly develop a high-level strategic roadmap of core technologies for future connectivity systems and components. The consortium is targeting the next generation telecommunications networks and services, including foundations for a sustainable European technology sovereignty in 5G and beyond.

COREnect will also reach out to communities in related fields such as High- Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Photonics and more, building a project force crucial for Europe’s position in the global digital scene.
