Equal Opportunities

It is cfaed's mission to promote equal opportunities for all our members. We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities and to support this goal with the following measures:

Dual Career

To support the relocation of families and partnerships to Dresden, cfaed actively engages in finding suitable employment opportunities for spouses/partners, benefitting from the well-established Dual Career Service Office at TUD as well as from the strong academic and industrial network of cfaed researchers.

Training and Coaching

We offer advice and coaching in all aspects relating to qualifications, career development, and leadership.

Gender Awareness

All trainers of the cfaed workshop program integrate gender issues within their trainings, especially in the context of leadership, conflict management, team building, and communication.

Mentoring

cfaed encourages female postdocs to participate in TUD’s tailored Maria-Reiche-Mentoring-Program. It facilitates networking opportunities and provides insights into the informal rules and structures of university life.
We will also help find individual mentors.

Child Care and Advice

In Dresden, there are over 370 childcare facilities available. TUD reserves more than 50 kindergarten places close to the campus for its employees. In addition, flexible childcare is offered, e.g. to cover selected school holidays or to allow parents to attend conferences and meetings. A family service team offers support and advice on work-life-balance. Family rooms and play corners are available across the TUD campus.

Feel free to contact us with any questions or suggestions concerning equal opportunities!
